AAI Feeds Sapie PS School Children

First day of School Mass Feeding Program was launched in Sapie Primary School, Paligue, Indanan, Sulu last February 26, 2017. Funds for the mass feeding emerged out of the Asia America Initiative headed by Prof. Albert M. Santoli, the President and parents of Sapie Primary School led by TIC, Faijal I. Andan. It is a fifty-fifty partnership amounting to P 8.00 per partner per child. The total cost for the menu is equal to P 16.00. Prof Santoli shoulders every P 8.00 of the school children on the part of AAI. The total number of enrolled students is 26 from Kindergarten to Grade 2. Therefore; the product of 26 learners and P 8.00 makes Prof accountable for the match.

This photos were taken from the post of ISD Coordinator on Health and Nutrition, Hja. Sharu-Husna C. Salim along with Panglima Misuari PS.

It was not just the students who were happy with the mass lunch. Parents also asked if they would be allowed to give P 8.00 counterpart so that they could share eating lunch with their children. PSDS replied them in a smile and formal way that their request should be consulted to Prof thru AAI Coordinator. It was so funny for them. They almost forgot their apprehension over the scattered military operation in their locality resulted from the encounter happened last February 21, 2017 between AFP and negative group at about half kilometer away from the school of their children. Thus, School Mass Feeding Program that serves as lunch for the learners was conducted in Social Hall. The President of the PTA was so active in assisting Nurjaina F. Yusop, Multigrade 1 and 2 teacher and the TIC manage the parents to participate in cooking of the children's lunch in school.
