Last Wednesday, Faijal I. Andan, TIC of Sapah Malawm PS and Sapie Primary School appeared in the Indanan South District Office, Km. 2, Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu. He personally reported to the Public Schools District Supervisor, Samoore S. Ladjahali about the disruption of classes in Sapie Primary School caused by an encounter between the negative group and AFP troop happened at Lantung, sitio of Barangay Paligue, Indanan, Sulu last Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Lantung is located between
Barangay Paligue and Barangay Sampunay, Parang, Sulu. The TIC reported that the
incident occurred at about 9:20 AM when he and his Kindergarten students were
inside the classroom busy doing teaching-learning activities. Accordingly, the heavy gunshots were loudly heard at about half kilometer away from Sapie Primary School. He ordered his teacher to dismiss the classes and advised all learners to go home safely.
By the following day, the TIC still reported to Sapie Primary School with his teacher, Nurjaina F. Yusop, stay-in teacher residing in Barangay Kuppong, a kilometer away from Sapie PS. They did not proceed to their school because parents told them that no more residents in the nearby areas of the school. Most of the residents of Barangay Paligue were gathered for evacuation in three sitios such as Langgal Puti', Bakud and Social Hall.
